About

I’ve been a writer for most of my life. I started my first book when I was 11 and decided to everything that I knew about Killer Whales. Since then, I have written numerous short stories, poems, and novels, some of which I have been lucky enough to have published.

I’m a Bachelor of Arts graduate of Vancouver Island University, with a double major in English and Creative Writing. I believe words have the power to shape our destinies. They inspire us, they change us, and they have power over us. To be able to twist, mould, and shape the English language as though it were a living thing, is a heady challenge, and one I accept most readily.

I’ve lived most of my life on Vancouver Island and there’s no place I would rather be. Surrounded by majestic snow-tipped mountains, vibrant scenery, and extraordinary encounters with wildlife, I am constantly imbued with inspiration.

I am fully able and willing to believe in fairies, I think mermaids and dragons are real. I’m sure vampires and werewolves can be found somewhere, and I’m trying to find the gateway to alternate universes. To me, shadows are more than just shadows, and I hear voices in the wind.

And I hope all of that and more translates to the page upon which I write.
